Walk, kayak, or take the Hahei Explorer to NZ Must-do Cathedral Cove. Snorkel and dive in Te Whanganui A Hei Marine Reserve. Take a picnic to a path less trodden, Te Pare Point. Daytrips take you to nearby Hot Water Beach, New Chum Beach or to Whitianga to indulge in some pampering at the Lost Spring Spa.
Or quite simply watch the sunrise and start the days slowly. Yoga, a great book, a long lunch overlooking the bay, a sunset cocktail, an outdoor bath gazing at the galaxy.

Dine in on the deck overlooking the bay or choose to let the local chefs spoil you with brunch, lunch or dinner in nearby Hahei Village - Hahei Beach Café, The Pour House and The Church Bistro all offer seasonal menus.
The Hahei General Store and the liquor store in the village have all the provisions you will need to retreat and relax.
An outdoor claw foot bath is set beside the tent, positioned for taking in the stunning rural views. Along a solar-lit boardwalk, a separate cabin contains the bathroom with a shower, a basin, and a flushing toilet. Luxury bath towels and beach towels are available too of course.
At night, enjoy a glass of wine, watch the moonrise over the islands, and the night sky light up, this is the perfect romantic spot for stargazing.

Booking Details & Glamping FAQs
Your Hosts: Whilst you are in a completely private and remote location at First Light Hahei, Grant and Cathryn, Managers at nearby Hahei Beach Resort, will be your on-call hosts.
Booking Season: First Light Hahei can be booked from Labour Weekend - 22 May.
Minimum Stays: There is a minimum stay of two nights year-round, except during Peak Season and Public Holidays see below.
Peak Summer Holidays: There is a minimum stay period of three nights during the entire Peak Summer Holiday period (24 December - 10 February).
Public Holiday Weekends: For all public holiday weekends, there is a three nights minimum stay.
